So this is the very first edition of my brand new concept, Development Now, Development for Tomorrow Blog. I'm going to address a multitude of projects, issues and news stories which I find pertinent to the struggle for growth and development in our modern age of globalization.
Take this as your official forewarning, I haven't blogged in many years and I'm not generally one to spill out my thoughts about topics very freely, unless you know me really well. The work and subjects posted here will basically speak for themselves. I want this website to be a first step tool for people who are interested in learning more about the world around them and what they should know and do to start the avalanche of change needed right now all across the globe. If we truly want to take active roles as citizens of the world, we need to devote our efforts towards development aide, and this includes a wide spectrum of possibilities and topics, as you will see through the variety of my posts. But know that this blog will mostly reflect my personal interest and future career goal of focusing on social and economic issues and development, often in developing countries, and particularly in Latin America and Africa.
After all, as former UN Lieutenant General Romeo Dallaire once said, '"All humans are human, not one of us is more human than another." "When a great nation has power, it has responsibility well beyond its border, to humanity."
